UPDATED: Pinal County Announces Four New COVID-19 Cases

UPDATED MARCH 22, 2020Pinal County Public Health Department announces two further cases of COVID-19 in Pinal County. They are: A female in her 50s & A male in his 60s.  Both are isolated at home and recovering. These are both close contacts of one of the cases announced on Thursday.  Pinal County's total cases of COVID-19 now stand at sixteen, of which fifteen are either fully recovered, or are isolated at home and recovering.


Pinal County Public Health Department can confirm four new cases have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in Pinal County. They are:

  • A female in her 40s
  • A female in her 60s
  • A male in his 60s
  • A male in his 70s

All are isolated at home and recovering. None of these cases are related to each other or any previous cases.

This brings the total number of cases in Pinal County to fourteen. Only one of these is currently hospitalized.

Pinal County Public Health Department want to remind the community at every opportunity to follow some basic safety guidelines in order to stay healthy and limit the spread of COVID-19:

Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 secondsUse hand sanitizer (with at least 60 % alcohol) when soap and water are not availableAvoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouthMake sure you and the people around you cover your mouth and nose with a disposable tissue when you cough or sneeze. Then dispose the tissue in the trash. If you don't have a tissue available, cough or sneeze into your bent elbowMaintain at least six (6) feet distance between yourself and anyone who is coughing or sneezingStay home when you are sick
