...Joe Foss American Legion Post 97 hosting a "Vitalant Neighborhood Blood Drive" event Monday, July 18, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the San Tan Valley Veteran Center located at 5764 E. Hunt Hwy San Tan Valley, AZ 85132.
As Arizona deals with a blood donor shortage, Joe Foss American Legion Post 97 and Vitalant are working together to collect more blood.
Many blood drives have been canceled, so your individual donations matter now more than ever. Healthy individuals are needed to help patients count on lifesaving blood.
Vitalant is the sole blood provider for Banner Ironwood, Banner Casa Grande, and every hospital in Maricopa County including the VA hospital in Phoenix. Donating is a safe process, and people should not hesitate to give or receive blood. Vitalant has implemented additional precautions to ensure the safety of our donors and staff.
Donor Reminders: Drink extra water, eat a meal before donating, bring ID, and invite another lifesaver to the blood drive.
Donors must set up advance appointments at www.BloodHero.com, use sponsor code: Post97 or call 1-877-25-Vital to schedule your appointment.
